Kids will be kids

I don't know if it's boys, or just kids in general, but my boys were on one yesterday. I was trying to get some stuff done and they were in Pat's office creating a huge mess! Max LOVES when things spill and he'll just run and start smearing both his hands in whatever it is. If it's food, then he'll start shoveling it in his mouth, too. Here they are getting into the binder and paper clips. And Max also walked off with a bag of goldfish crackers and decided it would be fun to spread those all over, too. I left for a second and when I came back to clean them up, they were all gone! Max had eaten them all! Lukas decided it would be fun to put mousse in his hair (thanks to Daddy showing him how) and when he thought there was too much, he used hand soap to wash it out and said, "I put lots, lots, lost of it in my hair, and now I'm washing it out with shampo". I had to just laugh. He wanted to leave it like that, but I made him rinse it out. The picture doesn't show all the suds, but believe me, they were there! Oh, and Lukas found one of my old purses and thought it was the perfect toy bag, so he stuffed it full of toys and walked around the house. These guys keep me on my toes. BUT they did go to bed last night without much of a fuss. Lukas loves sharing with Max, and I think Max is starting to get used to it. Sadly, it didn't last all night b/c Lukas came in our room at 3 a.m. and Max woke up with a yucky diaper. So, no solid night's sleep, but we're working on it and each night seems to get a little better!

I just love that picture of them laying next to each other on the floor. They look so sweet! It's hard to believe all the things they can get into. I feel like I'm running around all day preventing messes and then turning around to clean up more. I wish I was as patient as you, JaNece. I need to sit back and laugh at it more, I think! :-)

I laughed so hard at the thought of what his hair must have really looked like after his little project. He is so stylin!

Isn't it amazing how much our little ones can get their hands into in such little time? You are such a cute mom to those adorable little boys!

By the way, I just read your comment on my Vinyl Lettering...I think your MENDOZA'S idea is really, really cute. I would be more than happy to send you something. I could also share with you more insight on how we sell our stuff on ebay! Anyway, email me at starpansie2004@yahoo.com.

One more thing, I just love reading your posts...they always put a smile on my face.

Your boys are so cute! I learned that as a mother, it's best to take as many pictures as you can, even if you feel like crying over any messes that your kids make! I also LOVE your bookshelf! What a great idea!

Kids will be kids always applies!! But yet I always expect more from my own than I do other kids. I can totally see my kids doing all this in less than an hour at home, of course in the rooms that I had JUST cleaned... But when I read about it and your kids it just makes me laugh and smile! TOO cute!!!
