Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we went to my parents house for a BBQ and then to the Payson cemetery where my mom's side of the family is buried. I tried to explain to the kids about cemetery's and how to be respectful and why we were going. They didn't quite get it, but Lukas was really interested to see that Nana had a mommy and daddy and to see where they were buried. I didn't even tell them I wanted a picture and this is what I captured... Me and Pat at the cemetery. Me and my Dad. :)

Silverpups Preschool Graduation

What perfect excuse to make a big deal, right? Well, normally I totally would, he's my first!! But he will be going to one more year of preschool before he starts kindergarten so no big after party or graduation cake. Nana and Papa came to cheer him on and I know that made him feel special. He had a little speaking part that he memorized and did so well when it was his turn. He is quite squirmy and could hardly sit still in his chair for the program. Luckily he has more time to practice. I am amazed at how much he has learned this year. He started out not knowing how to write any letters and coloring crazy all over the page and now he can spell his name and color details in the lines!! I'm excited for him to learn more and for the fun experiences ahead of him. Thank you Silver Pups and we'll see you next year! :) Now what am I going to do with my rowdy 4 year old all summer????

New Moon

Are you kidding me?!!! (My sister just sent me this picture.) Now only 185 more days of anticipation. Oooh, now you can all see why I'm a fan of Jacob! :)

This is how we feel after driving 10 hours (each way) in the car, a quick stop in St. George at the InstaCare for Max's ear infection, spending 2 full days at Disneyland and California Adventure, swimming in the hotel pool, playing at the beach and having a blast in California. Time for a vacation from our vacation...

My dad has been doing his treatments for 6 weeks (in a clinical study for stage IV Lung Cancer). He has had minimal side effects, which is wonderful. Yesterday he got the results back from a CT scan to see how the treatments have been working. The Dr. said he's doing a lot better than he expected and the 2 tumors that they are watching have reduced 30%. Can you believe it!!!!!!!!! Yes, REDUCED by 30%!!! What a wonderful miracle for our family! I'm so grateful. We have to keep fasting and praying for this! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Keep 'em coming!

Salt Lake Bees

We went to a Bees game last night. It was so much fun and we were right behind home plate. The boys loved it. The stadium was less than crowded and baseball is actually pretty boring to watch because it's so slow, but none of that mattered. We were together and got to enjoy some family time. THANKS Pat! (He just finished his 3rd semester and has a week and a half break until the next one starts.) (The boys used their own allowance money to get the #1 fan hand. Silly boys!)

Bunk Beds

I switched to boys into the bigger bedroom upstairs and moved my craftroom into their old room. We found these bunk beds on KSL ($50 bucks...sah-weeeet!). They boys love it and their room is so fun! I've been wanting to redo it for awhile now and I'm so glad it finally happened. I'm debating if I should paint a wall or not. So far it's NOT. We'll see. I like that the bunk bed is twin on top and full on the bottom. I end up falling asleep with Max on the bottom because it's so comfy!
